👤 About Julia Struzh Felt, form, and the art of building garments — by hand. Julia Struzh is a textile artist and designer based in Cologne, Germany, specializing in felted and knitted garments that are both structured and soft, precise and expressive. With a background in mathematics and programming, she brings a clear, analytical mindset to the slow craft of wearable design. Her signature pieces — seamless felted vests, sculpted scarves, and layered knitwear — are known for their clean construction, subtle color palettes, and thoughtful proportions. Each garment is built entirely by hand, often without a single seam, using wool as both material and architecture. Julia teaches regularly at the renowned Filzschule Oberrot, and her work has been exhibited at design fairs and textile showcases across Germany. Beyond the studio, she also leads workshops with children, neurodivergent students, and inclusive community groups — always with a focus on clarity, calm process, and tactile intelligence. In this course, she shares the exact method she uses to create her signature felted vests — not just as craft, but as a practice of designing with intention and building garments that truly belong on the body.
